Is YourGameSpot free to use? +
Yes. GameGrid, GridIron, and GameNight are free to use with no subscription. GameNight's built-in question library is always free; Generated On Demand questions use credits at $0.01 per question. Players don't need an account to join. Share a link or room code and start playing.
How do I run a Super Bowl squares pool online? +
Open GameGrid, create a room, and share the link or QR code with your group. Everyone claims their squares, numbers are randomly assigned at kickoff, and scores update live every quarter with no manual entry needed.
Does GameGrid work for soccer? +
Yes. GameGrid supports soccer leagues via ESPN's schedule. Soccer uses a minute-squares format: a winner is triggered on every goal, based on the score at that exact minute. More action than quarterly scoring, perfect for a match watch party.
Can I run an NFL pick'em pool with my friends? +
Absolutely. GridIron lets you create a private pick'em or survivor pool for any size group. Everyone picks game winners each week, picks lock at kickoff, and the leaderboard updates automatically when games finish. Real-time pool chat keeps the trash talk going all week.
How does GameNight multiplayer work? +
GameNight has two modes. In Trivia Host, the host runs the game from a laptop or TV: add players, pick a category, and read questions aloud while marking winners on screen. In Trivia Night, the host creates a room and players join with a code on their phones. Everyone taps A/B/C/D answers, scores update in real time, and a live leaderboard tracks the standings. Both modes offer a free question library or Generated On Demand questions, including custom topics for studying any subject.
How many people can play at once? +
GameGrid and GridIron work great for groups of 5 to 50+. GameNight trivia is best for groups of 4 to 20 playing together in the same room or on a video call.
Do players need to download an app? +
Everything runs in the browser on any phone, tablet, or computer. Players tap the link or scan the QR code you share and they're in. Sign-up and downloads are optional; playing is always instant.
What trivia categories does GameNight include? +
Free mode includes 10 categories: general knowledge, science & nature, history, geography, sports & leisure, music, movies & TV, literature, food & drink, and technology. Generated On Demand adds 12 trivia categories plus 8 certification study tracks (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt). You can also type a custom topic, great for studying a particular subject. Questions are generated fresh each session so they never repeat.
Can I use these games for a work event or party? +
Yes, all three games are designed for groups. GameNight trivia works great for office parties and team events. GameGrid is perfect for any watch party: football, basketball, or soccer. GridIron keeps coworkers engaged all NFL season long.
How do I get help or contact support? +
Each app has a Contact Us form in the ⚙️ menu (Help, About, and Release Notes are there too). Sign in, open the menu, choose a subject, and send. We reply to your account email. GameNight billing questions: use subject Payment / Credits. You can also email admin@yourgamespot.com directly.
Does GameNight charge for trivia? +
The built-in question library is always free. Generated On Demand AI questions cost $0.01 per question; only the host pays, via credits purchased through secure Stripe Checkout. Players joining a game never need credits or an account.
